The Dada Weatherman is Jonathan’s folk project, a young songwriter (20) from France, trained piano player but guitar player in the soul (from his own confession). — from biography on MySpace.

After many EPs, we are really pleased to review this complete album, with 13 tasty tracks.

If you like calm, warm and silky feelings, and if you like blues, folk and country, we really think you’ll appreciate this work from a real young musicians. A sound that feels british with his characteristic and melancholic singing, but comes from France.

Starting the selection of our preferred tracks, we suggest you the first opening track Song To Paris. We really like the arrangements and the groove.

A good country-folk influence is felt inside the Ballad of a Sad Man. It’s not a downtempo song, but it’s really relaxing as well.

Yellow Gold, the second top listened track on Jamendo, and Pacific Sailor are the second ones we like on this album. We love the groove, with its acoustic well played guitars.

Let we close with a “fast” country song. Ufo is not really funny, not really solar, but it’s probably the most “light” track of the whole album, with great acoustic guitar solo and country groove.

Take a preview on Jamendo:

Miss Yakaba and Fillindia, two talented promises on the scene.

Wash your hands of it is a very good, warm and intensive album for all the stages. They skilfully blended electronic with acoustic sounds, electro music with acoustic rock, passing through blues, ethnic and soul influences.

Very tasty and pleasant.

The opening track, Strong enough, starts with an ethnic rhythm loop to introduce a warm soul-blues melodic female singing, with a great surprise at the end of it.

The same name track Wash your hands of it instead, open itself with an electronic sound and continues with a saucy way, but truly intensive.

Call me back is the most faster track of the album, with a great groove and a great acoustic guitar “pad”.

We truly love the closing track Infatuation (maybe is the right title for us ) with its downtempo groove, that pretty smoky atmosphere that remember a bit of the anguished and experienced Pink Floyd sound and the female-male voice duet.

Take a preview on Jamendo:

Simply astonishing this album.

This group from Stockholm fuse together numberless styles of music: from metal to jazz, from liric to gipsy.

It’s really incredible how do thei are able to compose strange songs, perfectly harmonious, setting together so differents instrumets, so differents sounds took from several countryes in the world.

The 5th song D’angelo, for example, is partially sang in italian by a soprano: can really give you a shiver along you back!

Gipsy and metal guitars are sometimes played together, in a strange and extraordinary alchemy.

This album want to teel you a story, an epic and obscure story: are you ready to listen it?

An english groove from the France. A very mature production from Fresh Body Shop, a pop-rock with various influences from electro to brit-pop.

Fresh Body Shop is a veteran on Jamend. He’s not unknown to the peoples who knew Jamendo far ago.

Anyway, this production sounds good even if you already know his sound. It remembers the vocal style of Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, some guitar riff of Red Hot Chili Peppers and sometimes also the atmosphere of the 80s INXS band.

This 7-tracks album is really funny to listen everytime and everywhere: whether you listen it during your job or driving your car. Tracks are not so long, the average is 2:50 minutes, so they are very quick to listen.

The opening track My Artificial Sun is very fast and powerful, with a great guitar-bass riff. We really love it.

The Hunt is the one that remembers the Red Hot Chili Peppers sound, blended with the NIN style. Pretty curious.

We also really like Anything But You with its fresh sound and uptempo groove. It’s interesting also the guitar solo performing, played on a “stretched” way.

Well, it’s really a good album. We can consider it a must have on your pre-party playlist or your trip all around the world.

An expression of a modern flamenco, perfectly performed, even if it's just a promo EP. This is a real latin heart from the deep España!

Sometimes the self producted works are better than the professional ones. Better because they are deeply backgrounded, better because there are a strong passion inside, and better because they are played better.

Xauen, la banda del mono Titi is that good work.

En el Olivar is just a 4-tracks EP, but it’s a real pleasure. It ain’t easy to make a good flamenco stuff without boring, at least when you wish to reach the maximum number of listeners. In this case we can say that they done the difference.

The same name track En el Olivar is an authentic, warm and passionate classic flamenco. Almost totally instrumental, with latin guitars and flute.

Alma de bossa is more gipsy, still latin, with a real good female voice and a duet with a male one. It’s a little bit “modern” than En el Olivar, but just a little bit.

Luna de Agosto is blended with a cuban influence, with a bright and funny sound. It’s a summer soundtrack.

The closing one, Miro al cielo Todavìa, has a particular character, with many rhythm changes, an authentic flamenco singing bridge and almost totally instrumental.

Sit down in a confortable sofa.

Relax and put on this album. You will be surprised to the different kind of styles that are mixed together.

The result? A rich jazz, nearly sumptuous, played in a impeccable way.

Born in 2007, this album includes pieces played by a jazz quintet, made up of piano, sax, trumpet, drum and double bass. The project had devised and composed by Paolo Pavan.

For a soft and candlelight evening, I suggest you Opposites and Silent, both refined and relaxing songs.

To taste the best dense swing, you have to listen Urban Slanging: amazing!.

Actually, all the songs of the album are marvellous. At every hearing, you will discover a new sound or a sign that you didn’t hear before.

So…come on: try it!

Take a preview on Jamendo.

This EP is a 6-tracks work with various influences and styles inside: you can listen from rock to blues, from soul to funk, all pretty performed by 11 musicians.

The quality of this production is professional, both in performing, mixing and recording.

The opening track Cerca De Mi and Ahogando El Blues express very well a modern blues, easy to listen. If you wish to stomp your feet on a funky rhythm, then pump up the volume and play Tiene Que Cambiar and, above all, Voy A Estar Ahi.

We could consider Dame Fuerza a good folk-pop-rock — a little beat downtempo with a pretty singing —and Creo the most summer song of the album.

In the far old Tennessee, chewing the tobacco and drinking a fresh beer, you will meet the faboulous Johnny Hoodoo with his old time bluegrass music. Ya-hoooo!

Even if this over 40 years old yankee is from UK, instead of the hot and sultry real Tennessee, his music is a real old time style.

The album is recorded like the old-style recordings: not through a perfect, clean, crystal and aseptic digital way but thru a dirty, fat, warm and analogic one. Country Blues, with its 10 tracks, will bring you back to old delay effects, live recording and one man band performing.

So, going back in the humid Nashville, sitting in front of a good beer with Johnny Cash, we certainly wish to listen to Big Leg Blues, a good and fast country-blues. After that, we can ride a horse with Cocaine in the ears, a traditional country song.

Willie The Chimney Sweeper is maybe the most “modern” track inside and Hoodoos Juju the most “Elvis” one.

Well, get your fresh beer and find out the other ones yourself!

This album, born in 2007 and full of a magnetic swing, is the second work of Killing Jazz. They are five spanish musicians, influenced from different kind of music: from swing to fusion, from blues to funky!

Believe me, you easily can find all of this in every song of the album. Especially in the third one, I Wanna Be Evil, it’s so funny!

Listen to this album: it’s fantastic! Every song can makes you happy.
