Are you a fan of Tim Burton movies and the magic, unique and excellent atmosphere by the master Danny Elfman‘s music?

Are you a spectator of the amazing Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky?

Well, welcome to The Wizard of Oz, the passionate work of Francesco Lettera.

The Cyclone masterfully opens the way into this magic trip, flying and bouncing back & forth like a leaf. It’s a great ouverture.

Going to the city of Emerald is a funny reprise of the Nutcracker, with a personal performance and character.

The wicked witch remember some old colossal movie soundtrack, movies like Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments, Spartacus, Cleopatra. Movies that made the story, in the real way.

A fresh soundtrack for you free time, or for your driving. Directly from Connecticut a good production of pop-folk american music.

Quoting himself, Sean Fournier is a lyrically-driven singer/songwriter. With an acoustic guitar in hand and a pocket full of songs, he continues on his quest for the world to hear his music.

This 6-tracks EP is a pop-folk composition of classical acoustic songs and modern pop ones, both soaked in classic sound of american folk; with a real good quality recording and mixing.

The most thoughtless tracks are the opening one and the closing one, that’s to say: Broken Stereo (with a nice guitar playing) and Falling For You (with a great funny piano arrangement).

Holding The Hand Of The Hurricane is the most experimental track of the entire EP, with a curious and pretty percussion groove and an electronic-resonance-clavinet in the background, surrounded by a violin-like sound.

Take a preview on Jamendo:

If you know and love the East Coast crews, and you are totally a Wu-Tang Clan fan… you must have this EP!

Blinded By The Truth is a recent work made by a really recent connection (december 2008) between USA (Just-1 — the artist) and Sweden (Nevahmind — producer + mixing).

This 4-tracks EP is a groove bomb, with chorals and classical instruments loop inside. Just-1 and Nevahmind really know how to get a solid groove.

Pay attention on the 4th track Nocturnal, there’s a trick. You have to completely listen till the end, and you’ll get 2 tracks in one.

We really love the second part of Nocturnal. Simply grooooovy.

An eclectic and mature album with a fusion of various genres like jazz, electronic, classical music and soundtrack.

Ogg Vorbis are veterans on Jamendo, with many albums released, but this is, we think, the most tasty, delightful and suggestive album they issued.

Underscore is a well balanced fusion of various kind of music, from soundtrack to funk, from electronic to jazz. It’s a good friend when you work, drive or simply relax.

The voice of Amelia June is simply perfect, remembering the style of Emiliana Torrini, or Hooverphonic.

Trying to define the best track of the album, we think You’re Not Alone is the best performance, with its gipsy guitar played into an electronic sea, elegantly blended with Amelia’s voice.

In all of its essence we feel Underscore a brilliant little masterpiece.

The work of 20 musicians located around the world, with a pop / electronic sound, great atmosphere and classical piano inside.

We could define it an eclectic production, with “deja-vu” sounds and atmosphere (like Enigma), basically with a pop style and electronic influence in many tracks.

Struttin has a great groove and you can feel it the most electronical track of the album, but if you wish to get the most “dream” track, check Beauty with its atmosphere and good woman voice. Personally I like really much also Mesmerize, that has an intensive groove with a great man voice and classical piano arrangement.

I appreciate the use of samples from other “minor” artists hosted on Jamendo, in spite of the usual samples from “major” artists (you know: Michael Jackson, Public Enemy, and so on).

Take a preview from Jamendo:
