Second review for this artist on Jamazine! We like it because of his acoustirock-indie-NIN-influenced groove on his generous 11-tracks album!

Fresh Body Shop is an already knew artist here on Jamazine, already reviewed with his The Ugly Army about one year ago.

Today is here again, with a great acoustic album: Director’s Cut. It contains a touch of Trent Reznor singing and NIN atmospheres, blended with great indie rock groove.

We like to start with Twins, a nice country-styled with a great refrain on a acoustic-guitar-no-rhythm groove. We really appreciate it.

Next Home has slower rhythm, good arrangements and it’s really tasting, especially on intense moments. A perfect acoustic rock pearl.

And now, let’s increase the speed with Voodoo Doll, Translucid and the title track Director’s Cut. Three good and faster tracks to let you dance!

Have you never heard something like this from China? An amazing artist...you must ejoy it right now!

Let the music start…let your mind fly in a indefinite time and space…fly in the music.

Sometime psychedelic, this artist let you remeber pieces of David Bowie, Doors,Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, Syd Barrett,Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, The cure, The who, Beatles and, in general all the music of 60′ s and 70′s.

It’s really strange to think that plaing is a chinese boy, culturally so far from american and english music. But, if you look through the musical chinese young musician landscape, you will find an excellent musicall scene. Lonely Planet Boy 1969 has a strong musical background so the result is a mature album, dens of a great composition of different influences.

We really like the first track, Cellar Boy, that introduce you to the world of the artist using soft percussions, guitars and a grate vocal.

Also great the second track, Planet Earth’s Midnight Creature Show, so strongly influenced by the Bowie of Space Oddity.

Alf blues alf rock, track number seven mix a Ray Charles like piano with Led Zeppelin sonorities…astonishing!

Let we introduce you to a psychedelic and excellent rock work from the UK. A great blend of melody, rhythm and original brit sound.

Directly from United Kingdom, The Heavens bring to us a high quality 4-tracks work.

If you like bands like Oasis, The Verve or you are a fan of the myth called The Beatles, then this is the group for you.

Acoustic drums, bass, distorted guitars, hammond organ, dreamy voices and psychedelic singing… are all the ingredients of The Heavens recipe.

Second Day Blues, the opening track, has a refrain that could remember Strawberries Fields Forever by The Beatles, with an incisive guitar solo.

This Beautiful Machine is faster, lighter, with a good groove to dance and a little bit psychedelic.

More classic is If You’re Lost For Somewhere Else To Be, with great arrangements and an easy listening feeling.

But, we really like the last one called Echo Serena. It’s absolutely the most psychedelic, imaginative and inspired song of the whole EP. We like the echoed guitar, the bassline groove and the ethereal singing.

Twelve pure ethic and fusion tracks.
An album that contains sonorities from many parts of the world: Africa, India, Australia, China and more!

A trip around the Earth, discovering traditional sounds fused with classical vocalisms and elettronic solutions.

We really like the way that this french artist put together so many differents musical styles, creating an harmonic whole tha can makes you feel deep emotions.

The first track, Fly in the Universe, the most sophisticated and sensual of the album, got a great vocal and an interesting swing.

In Charlize Temple, track number four, there is even a recall to the Requiem of Mozart: a great fusion of electronic sound and classical vocals, with an interaction of an unexpected african theme!

Great work in Mha Mha Mhe Kussa, seventh track, because listening it, if you close your eyes, it can be difficoult to identify in witch part of the world you can be in: african voices, electronic beats, chinese flutes and guitars…great mix!

You will really be sourprised from every song of this album!

This is a one-man-band album, the first of a canadian boy, Brad, that sometimes is compared to Beck.

Let we say that Make me nervous it’s, the opening album track, it’s really cool!
We like the funny mix of pop, electronic and alternative sounds.

Listen to Bad Attraction, track number four, and you will find a rock song with a recall to Lenny Kravitz!

Never get out, track number eight, it’s an interesting example of electronic music, very well palyed!

At last, this really is a very enjoyable album to get in your i-Pod!

Allison: she is always a great artist!

We really like this artist because she produce always music of hight quality. We are speakin about her voice, she is a great singer, powerfull and charismatic, and also about the arrangement of all the songs.

Lisa’s song, the first track of this album, is an example of the talent of this artist: vocally and instrumentally complete, elegant execution. The song was write to remember the story of a friend of Allison, Lisa Marie, went missing in 2002.

Maybe the most lively song of the seven, Midnight, join together pop and instrumental music.

We also really like Philosophy, the last track, because of it’s syncopated rhythm: the voice of the singer offer a marvellous proof of talent.

This is a close album, elegant, that sweep into the folk and instrumental music, with some times pieces of rock and melodic sounds.

Sometime someone needs a little piece of relax. Maybe at lunch, maybe in the mid of afternoon. Maybe in the evening, after a long day of hard work.

The time to relax in your bed, in summer, with a gentle sea breeze that kindly blows over the body, the hairs, inside the nostrils.

The time to relax in front of the fireplace, in winter, with a cup of tea, a glass of whisky or nothing, why not.

Well, just you & yourself.

In that moment Pinkle could be your nice friend, with his FFTme, a 12-tracks easy-listening album that is mainly a rock indie acoustic work, with some influence from caribbean and percussions.

The opening track Wake up remember the style of Coldplay, and it’s well performed, with a good electric guitar to strengthen the delicate general sound.

Different, with some latin and brazilian influence, is the third track called Laws of Physics, a good mic of bossanova and acoustic rock. Very tasty.

Blue Suit is a nice gentle speedy track. Nice on melodies and sounds, gentle on singing and speedy on rhythm, with a touch of hawaiian guitar playing.

The closing track Shoot the Moon is slow and elegant, with a speeding-up refrain and good electric piano playing.

An english groove from the France. A very mature production from Fresh Body Shop, a pop-rock with various influences from electro to brit-pop.

Fresh Body Shop is a veteran on Jamend. He’s not unknown to the peoples who knew Jamendo far ago.

Anyway, this production sounds good even if you already know his sound. It remembers the vocal style of Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, some guitar riff of Red Hot Chili Peppers and sometimes also the atmosphere of the 80s INXS band.

This 7-tracks album is really funny to listen everytime and everywhere: whether you listen it during your job or driving your car. Tracks are not so long, the average is 2:50 minutes, so they are very quick to listen.

The opening track My Artificial Sun is very fast and powerful, with a great guitar-bass riff. We really love it.

The Hunt is the one that remembers the Red Hot Chili Peppers sound, blended with the NIN style. Pretty curious.

We also really like Anything But You with its fresh sound and uptempo groove. It’s interesting also the guitar solo performing, played on a “stretched” way.

Well, it’s really a good album. We can consider it a must have on your pre-party playlist or your trip all around the world.

Incredible work by the italian band Meridiano Zero. Simply wonderful, perfect performance and high quality mixing recording.

Meridiano Zero is one of the most professional bands hosted on Jamendo, playing an absolute high quality sound, arrangement and performance.

This is not a real album release, but more similar to an EP. We have an intro and 3 real tracks. But, believe in me, incredible tracks.

Unfortunately on Jamendo there are not the whole discography available, so you have to refer directly to the Dharma Sound netlabel to get the other productions from this band.

Rock! Rock! Rock! Dirty and pure rock music from this german band.

Eve is a great production from Shearer — a german 4-guys band — with 14 tracks, all pure independent rock with a real powerful rocker voice.

Start listening directly with the open track Change, a powerful fast track with dirty guitars and perfect rock voice performed. The man song remember the sound of The Police with the song Roxanne, but play a good rock as well. Is it you is the minimal track of the album, with a great bassline.
