A great warm pop rock electro album. Great female voice on a good groove baseline and performance.

Miss Yakaba and Fillindia, two talented promises on the scene.

Wash your hands of it is a very good, warm and intensive album for all the stages. They skilfully blended electronic with acoustic sounds, electro music with acoustic rock, passing through blues, ethnic and soul influences.

Very tasty and pleasant.

The opening track, Strong enough, starts with an ethnic rhythm loop to introduce a warm soul-blues melodic female singing, with a great surprise at the end of it.

The same name track Wash your hands of it instead, open itself with an electronic sound and continues with a saucy way, but truly intensive.

Call me back is the most faster track of the album, with a great groove and a great acoustic guitar “pad”.

We truly love the closing track Infatuation (maybe is the right title for us ) with its downtempo groove, that pretty smoky atmosphere that remember a bit of the anguished and experienced Pink Floyd sound and the female-male voice duet.

Take a preview on Jamendo:

An interesting EP, with a voice that can recall you the traditional voices of the best New Orleans performers. A great piano and a fascinating electric bass.

Soul, jazz and blues are the essential components of this EP.

The velvety voice of Allyssa Jones offer you an example of the new generationof american blues singers.

The first song, Kiss & Run, maybe is the most expressive of the three.

This album is a recording of a live performance of Allyssa Jones for JazzBoston Jazz Week and the Somerville Open Studios third annual Music Fest on May 2, 2008.

For the lovers of acapella songs, this album will be a great listening. Famous songs remaked and performed in a very good way.

Jaimina Johnston is a “veteran” in singing songs (check the full biography on Wikipedia). She plays pop, rock, classical, jazz and blues, and has an unmistakable voice and style.

The singularity of this album is that is completely acapella, that’s to say without instruments. Just voice.

Strollin is a fast jazzy track, funny and easy listening. Ave Maria Immaculata is, of course, the right music for classical and coral songs lovers, and if you wish something different, try to listen to Rasputin: an authentic russian song.

This project is a two-years compilation and influenced by various genres: indian vibes and vocals, trip-hop, hip-hop, soul, blues, drum 'n' bass, electronic, rock, ambient and chill-out. Sounds like Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, Talvin Singh.

Let me start with a personal production…

This is an excellent non-professional work made over 10 years ago, with various influence from electronic, rock, indian and trip-hop music.

This album contains tracks from downbeat to fast drum ‘n’ bass, from instrumental works to complete songs with a real singer. We could define it a relaxing album to listen, with ambient atmosphere and good arrangements.

If you like “Cafè del Mar” or “Buddha Bar”, that’s the music for you.

Personally I love Hip Sitar — one of the most complete on arrangement, groove and intensity; Jaipur Bagh — the best electronic track of the album, with a great drum and bass line, and ambience; Raga n Bazz — I feel it funny .
